社会の中でみんなが安全で気持ちよく過ごすためには、ルールが必要です。

教室も小さな社会。みんなが安心して楽しく学べるように、いくつかの「お約束」を大切にしています。

とはいえ、ほとんどのクラスでは、わざわざお約束を話し合う必要はありません。

子どもたちは自然と、みんなが気持ちよく過ごすことの大切さを理解しているからです。

時には小さなトラブルやバランスの崩れが起こることもありますが、多くの場合、少し時間が経てば自然と整っていきます。

ごくまれに先生から具体的な声かけをすることもあります。

教室で大切にしているお約束は、とてもシンプルです。

・よく聞く

・英語を使ってみる

・みんなや物に優しくする

子どもたちが英語を安心して使い、学び合える環境をつくるための大切なお約束です。

[Classroom Promises]

Every society needs rules so that everyone can stay safe, happy, and treated fairly.

A classroom is also a small society. To create a safe and positive learning environment, we have a few simple “promises” that guide our classes.

In reality, most classes never need to discuss these promises in detail.

Our students naturally understand the importance of respecting others and learning together.

Sometimes small imbalances happen, as they do anywhere children gather, but most of the time they resolve themselves with a little time. Only in very rare situations does the class need specific guidance from the teacher.

Our classroom promises are simple:

・Watch

・Listen

・Use English

・Be nice

These promises help create an environment where everyone can feel comfortable using English and learning together.

Parents can also support this process by occasionally reminding their children why they come to Oshiro Kids each week — to learn, to try using English, and to grow together with their classmates.
