僕は他の英語講師と話す機会がたくさんあります。

「自分のクラスの生徒がなかなか話を聞いてくれない」と嘆きの声をよく聞きます。

「Listen carefully!」と何度もお願いしているにもかかわらず、生徒が聞いていないことが多いというのです。

レッスンでは、生徒に‘’聞く理由”を与えることが大切です。生徒が聞く必要性を感じていなければ、なかなか聞いてくれないのは当然です。

聞く理由、そして話す理由。子どもたちがそれを感じなければ、ただ指示してもそれに応えてくれません。おおしろキッズでは、子どもたちに、聞く目的、話す目的、必然性を感じてもらうことを大事にしているので、子どもたちはよく聞き、よく話しています。

Throughout the week I have many opportunities to speak with other English teachers.

You'll often hear teachers moan that the students in their classes don't listen. 

Despite repeated requests to "listen carefully!", students often don't.

In class, it's important to give students reasons to listen. If students don't feel a need to listen, it's difficult to ask them to listen.

Reasons to listen, reasons to speak. If students don't feel these, we can't expect them to. At Oshiro Kids, our children are doing well, listening and speaking, because of this very principle.
