おしろキッズ英語教室でとても大事にしているのは、英語を話す必然性のある場面づくりです。単に、僕から一方的に英語のインプットをするのではなく、「あ、今マシュー先生になんとかして伝えなきゃ！」という心の叫びがでるような機会をたきさん作っています。

その気持ちに英語の表現を与えることで実際に使ってくれるようになります。

今、生徒たちが英語を上手に話し始めているのは、クラスでは常に何かを話す必要性があるからです。必要性を感じるとき、生徒は英語を使う必然性と価値を感じます。また同じような場面になった時、「あの時の英語を使えばいいんだ！」「また使うかもしれないから覚えよう！」と主体的に学んでくれます。そして、いつのまにかスルッと口から英語が出た時、英語に対する自信が増し、楽しみも増えていきます。僕は、そんな生徒たちを誇りに思うし、その成長が何よりも嬉しいのです。

The Need to Say Something 

The students at Oshiro Kids English School are beginning to speak English quite well because in class, there is always a need to speak. When students feel a need to say something, they feel a strong investment in the language. When students feel a need to say something, they understand that they are learning a language in a meaningful way. And over time, when students begin to remember expressions and questions that they need to use in class, their confidence with English increases, and so does their enjoyment. I’m so very, very proud of our students and their progress so far!
