日本の英語講師には、定期的にスキルアップしたり見識を深めたりする機会をが色いろあります。僕は大きな英語講師向けの会議やセミナーで講演を依頼されることも多く、先日は大妻女子大学で開催された東京ELTコンベンションに登壇してきました。

日本の英語教育界で、ひろみ先生と僕がおおしろキッズ英語教室で行っている教育、特にNon-Target English Approach®︎に大きな関心が寄せられていているようでした。参加者からは大きな拍手を頂き、登壇後もたくさんの講師から嬉しいコメントを頂きました。おおしろキッズ英語教室の生徒たちが、レッスン中に積極的に上手に英語でコミュニケーションをとっていること、そして何よりも重要なことである「英語を使う姿勢」を持ち続けて持っていることにとても誇りを感じています。

「Teacher Development」

It doesn’t necessarily need to be common knowledge amongst students, but in fact English teachers in Japan have regular opportunities to develop their skills of their profession and to obtain insight. It doesn’t necessarily need to be common knowledge amongst Oshiro Kids students, but in fact I am often asked to speak with English teachers at major teacher development conferences and seminars. Yesterday there was one of these conferences at Otsuma University in Hanzomon. 

 It’s comforting to know that within Japan’s English language education circles, there is significant interest in the education Hiromi-sensei and I have brought to Oshiro Kids English Classroom, specifically the Non-Target English Approach. It’s comforting to feel genuine respect among the seminar participants. It’s with sincerity that I thank the amazing students of Oshiro Kids English Classroom who have shown great enthusiasm for their classes, are actually communicating in English very well, and, importantly, with the necessary attitude. 

 Once again, we can all be proud of them!
